It seems the UK is having a taste of Canada with some snow and cold temperatures. A part of Scotland had minus 21 overnight.
The Guardian compared it to the South Pole which is quite funny. The South Pole was at least a similar temperature so it made a valid point but they could have compared it to the minus 40 overnight in Winnipeg.
