smelly bacon

Had some bacon at lunchtime. My wife immediately smelled maple syrup. Nothing in the ingredients to suggest it but I don't think she was wrong. It was the worst bacon I've had here.

Canadian 'Back' bacon, to those who don't know, is completely different to English style back bacon.

Ordinary Canadian bacon is the 'streaky' kind and quite fatty. But at least it's usually cheap.
