Hurricane Earl was to descend upon us today. 200+Km winds blowing through Moncton with lashings of rain for about 12 hours.
As the last couple of days passed it gradually lost intensity - though could pick up again - and changed direction. Last night estimates dropped to gusts of about 90km but loads of rain.
This morning - by which time the local radio station had decided to stay on air to cover events instead of broadcasting the usual reruns - it seems clear it's in Nova Scotia instead but they were still talking excessive weather for us.
We had some drizzle, a breeze and a short spell of rain blowing against windows and then the wind got up for about 20-30 mins.
Now it's pretty much quiet less than three hours after the first breeze.
