Doesn't this defeat the object?

I discovered something on Firefox called Private Browsing.

Apparently it enables the user to do whatever they want to do without leaving an obvious trace in 'history' for someone to find (accidentally or by searching) which sounds handy for someone doing personal stuff like banking (no, I said banking) on a shared computer.

Obviously it helps if people would prefer others not to see what they've been up to for a variety of reasons.

Now although no trace of the sites visited is listed in History, apparently the switch to Private Browsing is recorded there.

Doesn't this actually draw attention to the fact that someone might want to keep what they were doing to themselves?
