A few on the expats forum commenting about being left broke after xmas. On the incomes they have coming in?
What on earth do they get up to?

Head like a sieve
This morning I realised I'd left the shop and come home without buying some pepsi. Then I realised it was actually a dream.
Later, I went to the shop. Guess what I forgot to buy.

Where did that go?
Last night I was in bed and before I dropped off I thought of something I wanted to say here.
It's gone now.

Same again
More inquests on England's latest dismality...is that a word?
All the criticisms about what's to blame are true. But they have been true for 50 years and there were still sufficient numbers of good players coming through to put up a good showing fairly regularly. At least until a few years ago.
There's clearly something else to it but the trendy, right on types won't see it.

My own Catch 22
A thread on the expats forum reminded me of the farcical targets in my old job and how meeting one automatically meant another was failed.
Meeting your interview targets meant everyone turned up (it was, of course, my fault if they failed to arrive) and because they turned up it meant you were busy interviewing them. That, of course, meant there was no time to focus on the other targets.
Meeting those other targets could only be done with 'bonus' time caused by someone not turning up for their interview. That, of course, meant the interview target wasn't reached.
